Arts & Culture Integration

Arts and Culture are essential for building community. Build a better understanding and greater awareness for the impact of arts & culture integration into community development and planning. Revitalize the area with arts & culture, we propose the local community the strategies and the programs for utilizing local public facilities including the closed schools. Conducting workshops, implementing artist in residence programs, utilization of public facilities, etc. In order to ensure that our cultural levels are at the forefront of the world in the future, we will look at the problems occurring in front of us together with the local community, and suggest potential solutions through art and cultural activities.

At present, there are nearly 7,000 closed schools in Japan, and the number of closed schools is increasing at the rate of 500 every year. If these negatives (closing schools and unoccupied houses) are regarded as resources of art culture and can be effectively utilized, the future of Japan will be brighter and richer. It is all about achieving a cultural nation, and we support that policy.

E.g. – Conduct workshops for everyone, from children to adults, parents, seniors and people with disabilities. Get closer to real art! There are so many things for the community to integrate arts & culture into their development and planning with visible attention and respects to the local needs, customs and history. Arts can be critical catalysts in creating development solutions that incorporate social, economic, and regional elements of the communities.

Arts Based Community

Transform the area into an “arts based community” using facilities as art hubs by utilizing public facilities and closed schools. Create a cluster of art and culture! The support for arts based community development on both the national and regional levels is essentially important as it excels the role of artists and the importance of the arts for building sustainable community and its culture.
